About the role<\/strong><\/div>\n

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role plays a critical part in delivering accurate financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving business performance.<\/p>\n

As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, performing financial analysis, and partnering with key stakeholders across the business. You will ensure the integrity of financial reporting while identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and profitability.<\/p>\n

Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide meaningful commentary on financial performance, budgets, and forecasts, helping to guide business strategy. This role also involves mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continuous development of the finance function. <\/p>\n

Key responsibilities will include<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Preparing the monthly Management Accounts for subsidiaries. We currently have subsidiaries based in the UK, USA, Germany, China, Australia, Poland, India, Spain, Korea, Canada and Japan.
\u2022 Carrying out month-end tasks such as revenue recognition, cost of sales workings, accruals, prepayments, and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
\u2022 Balance Sheet reconciliations
\u2022 Bank reconciliations
\u2022 Debtor, creditor, and bank revaluations.
\u2022 Intercompany reconciliations
\u2022 Analyse the financial results to produce commentary for senior management for both internal and external reporting
\u2022 Carrying out project work such as improving files, systems, and processes.
\u2022 Responsible for VAT\/GST Returns including any other Monthly\/Quarterly local tax returns and ensure deadlines are always met
\u2022 Work with the local accountants\/advisors to ensure the subsidiaries\u2019 account balances are aligned with ours
\u2022 Responsible for any other applicable returns in the Subsidiaries as and when required
\u2022 Assist with the preparation and filing of the Statutory Accounts in the Subsidiary countries in line with IFRS\/local GAAP requirements
\u2022 Assist with Year-End duties and annual audit
\u2022 Other ad hoc duties as and when required by the Financial Controller and Finance Director.<\/p>\n

Essential Skills & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 5+ years of experience in an accounting environment, with knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
\u2022 Qualified Accountant
\u2022 International Experience
\u2022 Good Academics
\u2022 Month End Experience including Prepayments, Accruals, Revenue Recognition
\u2022 Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail
\u2022 Good Excel skills including Vlookups, Pivot tables and Sumifs
\u2022 Able to work to strict deadlines
\u2022 Able to work independently and take the initiative in solving problems
\u2022 Solid understanding of basic accounting payable principles, including a good knowledge of VAT
\u2022 Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
\u2022 Ability to communicate and work at all levels with a large number of stakeholders i.e. junior staff to senior management.<\/p>\n

Desirable Skills & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

\u2022 Experience in leading teams and managing junior staff
\u2022 Experience using Sage 200, Credit Hound and TM1 \u2013 Apliqo
\u2022 Experience using Paperless
\u2022 Experience using WebExpenses
\u2022 Audit experience from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
