SR. BUSINESS ANALYST, WORKFORCE PLANNING (STARLINK)<\/p>\n
The Sr. Business Analyst, Workforce Planning (Starlink) leads proactive workforce planning and optimization, with a strong focus on managing demand volatility. This role uses short- and long-term strategies to help the organization scale efficiently while protecting customer experience and service levels.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Lead proactive workforce planning strategies to anticipate and mitigate demand volatility through advanced forecasting and predictive analytics
\nIdentify, evaluate, and activate short-term levers (e.g., overtime, flexible staffing, real-time schedule adjustments) and long-term levers (e.g., hiring strategies, capacity expansion, process redesign) to optimize workforce utilization
\nDevelop and improve forecasting models that detect demand fluctuations early and support data-driven decision-making
\nEnsure workforce decisions consistently protect and enhance customer experience by maintaining service levels and minimizing disruptions
\nProvide strategic recommendations to leadership on headcount planning, resource allocation, and scenario modeling
\nMentor and develop Workforce Specialists on forecasting techniques, lever management, and proactive planning practices
\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to improve forecast accuracy, reduce the impact of volatility, and strengthen operational resilience
\nManage cross-functional projects related to workforce systems, analytics tools, and process standardization<\/p>\n
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: <\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in business, supply chain management, information systems, computer science, engineering, or economics; OR 5+ years of professional experience in workforce management or capacity planning<\/p>\n
3+ years of progressive experience in workforce planning, demand forecasting, or analytics<\/p>\n
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: <\/p>\n
Master\u2019s degree in an analytical field
\n2+ years of experience in demand forecasting and predictive analytics
\n3+ years of experience using advanced Excel and SQL
\n2+ years of experience in statistical modeling, applied mathematics, operations research, or a related field
\nProficiency in Python
\nTelecom or ISP industry experience
\nProven ability to balance short-term tactical actions with long-term strategic planning while protecting customer experience
\nAdvanced proficiency in workforce management systems and data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI)
\nExcellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills<\/p>\n
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: <\/p>\n
Must be available to work extended hours and\/or weekends as needed to support critical milestones or operations shifts
\nAvailability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time as needed to customer sites\/meetings
\nThis is NOT a remote position and would require relocation if not local to the Redmond, WA or Bastrop, TX area <\/p>\n
