What you\u2019ll do on a typical day:<\/p>\n
Analyze and calculate revenue accruals during the month-end closePerform and review reconciliations for key accounts, including deferred revenue, deferred costs, unbilled accounts receivable, and unearned revenueReview new customer contracts to determine proper revenue recognition (in accordance to ASC 606), lease accounting, etc.erform ad hoc reporting to support multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional matrix environment, balancing their needs and perspectives to maximize the company\u2019s interest Perform and ensure key controls within the Record-to-Report process are in place and functioning effectivelyPrepare process documentation for key processesCoordinate with various stakeholders to drive process improvement Develop and monitor KPIs that track progress toward continuous improvementEnsure accurate and timely compilation of accounting information, analysis, and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company policies and proceduresOther duties, as assigned<\/p>\n
What you need to succeed at GXO:<\/p>\n
At a minimum, you\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience2-3 years of accounting or related experience Solid math aptitudeExcellent written and verbal skills<\/p>\n
It\u2019d be great if you also have:<\/p>\n
Master\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance or BusinessCPA certification 5 or more years of accounting or financial reporting experience, including public accounting experienceExperience with ERP systems (Oracle), Oracle Projects, Microsoft BI, Blackline, and related technologiesExperience reviewing contractsSolid ability to understand and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources<\/p>\n
