Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Consistent attendance and adherence to the posted schedule is a job requirement.
\nAttend required Human Resources Discovery, Security department training, and Security in-service training.
\nMaintain Park\/ Security Department grooming and appearance standards in accordance with policies.
\nInteract with guests, team members, and Park management on a daily basis.
\nWork with a diverse team and cooperate with all team members and Park management.
\nCommunicate effectively with guests, team members and Park management \u2013 in person, by phone, and by portable radio.
\nAddress and resolve guest violations of Park policy according to department policy.
\nWork patrol positions designed to respond to security-related incidents, emergencies, and calls for assistance:
\nWork fixed positions designed to monitor guest and team member entry\/exit:
\nWork fixed positions designed to monitor ride queues:
\nComplete departmental reports and\/or required paperwork according to department policy.
\nWork fixed positions designed to validate entry to guest parking lot.<\/p>\n
Operate hand-held electronic device to scan passes for parking.
\nOperate touch-screen point of sale (POS) system for credit\/debit card transactions.
\nMonitor and control access to preferred\/membership parking area.<\/p>\n
Assist with cleaning as needed or directed.
\nMaintain all job duties and responsibilities in outdoor weather conditions \u2013 regularly exposed to direct sunlight, wet\/humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat for extended periods of time.
\nMaintain all job duties and responsibilities independently with minimal direct supervision.<\/p>\n

Skills and Qualifications:<\/p>\n
18 years of age or older.
\nApplicants must possess a valid Driver\u2019s License.
\nApplicants enrolled in an associates or bachelor\u2019s level criminal justice or related program and\/or have previous experience at a private security job are preferred.
\nMust be able to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
\nMust be able to stand and\/or walk up to 8 hours at a time and as many as 12 hours a day.
\nMust have strong verbal and written communication skills.
\nMust be able to speak, understand, read, and write in English language.
\nMust be comfortable using and communicating via phone and portable radio.
\nMust be able to listen\/monitor radio communication by earpiece while simultaneously communicating to guests and team members in their presence.
\nMust be comfortable using a computer.
\nMust be able to work around a metal detector and complete guest and team member screening according to department policy.
\nMust be capable of working in outdoor weather conditions \u2013 regularly exposed to direct sunlight, wet\/humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat for extended periods of time.
\nMust have reliable transportation to and from the Park.
\nMust be flexible to change as job position may change daily.
\nFlexible work schedule includes working at night, on weekends, and during holidays between Memorial Day to Labor Day.
\nMust possess strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task, and be able to handle moderate levels of stress.
\nMust be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
\nMust have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others<\/p>\n
